The resort
Four cabins on a ridge above the Hartbeespoort Dam, each with a fire to tend and a pool to sink into.
Anahata is small on purpose. There is no restaurant, no reception desk and no Wi-Fi — just a cabin that is yours for a few days, a kitchenette you cook in, and a wood-fired splash pool you heat yourself while the light goes off the valley.

You heat it yourself. That is the point.
Every cabin has its own splash pool, warmed by a traditional wood-fired kettle. There is no switch and no thermostat — there is a fire, and it wants feeding.
It is a fire, not a thermostat
Each cabin's splash pool is heated by a traditional wood-fired kettle. It needs a fire burning continuously - let it go out and the water stops warming.
Roughly five bags
Two bags of firewood come with your stay. Properly warming the pool takes around five, depending on how hot you want it. More wood, bigger fire, warmer water.
Extra wood is R20 a bag
Bought on the property, or bring your own. We provide firelighters and a lighter. Please leave the lighter in the cabin for the next guests.
